iI was listening to a workshop yesterday that was talking about Solicitors and the law being the main gate keepers of conflict resolution. While I think that is true up to a point I think that it is actually the schools and teachers. It is through those years that we learn what conflict is and how to resolve it. By the time we come out of school a lot of our ideas are already formed. We want to fight to win instead of finding a win/win solution.
There are so many school programmes now which should mean that the next generation of children will be better at sorting out their disputes without going to the courts.
